View license usage

In OrgAdmin, you can view usage information on your organization’s licenses.

View usage of a license

The license usage view shows who is authorized to consume your organization’s license:

• Users and device clients belonging to the group(s) that have access to your organization’s license.

• Users and device clients with a seat reservation for a license or an active lease, even if they no longer belong to your organization or no longer have direct access to the license.

Note: If a user or device client no longer belongs to your organization but still has a seat reservation or active lease for your organization’s license, the status of the user is set to External. For device clients, no status is shown. You can release their seat reservation, but you cannot view their details, reserve a seat for them, or block or nblock them from using the license.

To view usage of a license:

1. In the left sidebar, go to Licenses.

   The license list shows the number of seats or amount of credit currently consumed out of the total number of seats or credit granted in the license.

2. To view a license’s current usage, click the Tools menu > Usage for the license. A dialog opens.

   The IN USE column shows usage information for the users and device clients currently using the license:

   • The hardware ID of the device on which the software application is being used.

   • The validity start and end of the user’s or device client’s current authorization to use the software (their license lease).

   The total number of consumed license seats is shown below the table.

1. In the left sidebar, go to Users or Device clients.

2. On the list, click the Tools menu > Licenses for the user or device client.

   A dialog opens, showing the same usage information as above for the licenses that the user or device client has access to.
