Edit client roles
You can edit the client roles of client applications in 10Duke SysAdmin.
If organization roles inherit permissions from a client role, changes to the client role’s permissions also affect all the associated organization roles. Test changes thoroughly before taking them into general use in a production environment.
Note: Do not make changes to the predefined InsightsViewer role, which is used to grant access to 10Duke Insights.
Before you start:
- Make sure to apply corresponding changes in your client application when it enforces client roles and client permissions.
To edit a client role:
-
In SysAdmin in the left sidebar, go to ROLES AND PERMISSIONS > Client roles.
-
In the table, select the client role you want to edit. The details open below the table.
-
On the Details tab, edit the details and click Save. You edit a client role in the same way as you create one.
-
On the Role permissions tab, edit the client permissions granted to the role.
-
For users who have the edited role or roles that inherit client permissions from it, changes to the role’s permissions typically take effect within one hour, depending on your 10Duke Enterprise configuration.
