Delete client roles

You can delete client roles in 10Duke SysAdmin.

If organization roles inherit client permissions from a client role, deleting the client role also removes the inherited client permissions from all the associated organization roles. Test changes thoroughly before deleting a role in a production environment.

Note: Do not delete the predefined InsightsViewer role, which is used to grant access to 10Duke Insights.

Before you start:

  • Make sure to apply corresponding changes in your client application when it enforces client roles and client permissions.

To delete a client role:

  1. In SysAdmin in the left sidebar, go to ROLES AND PERMISSIONS > Client roles.

  2. Select the role you want to delete and select Actions > Delete.

  3. Click OK to confirm the deletion.

The changes take effect immediately for users who had the deleted role or roles that inherited client permissions from it.
