Create licensed items
You can create licensed items on the Licensed items page in 10Duke SysAdmin.
As a shortcut, you can also create simple licensed items while you’re creating or editing a product package.
To create a licensed item:
-
In SysAdmin in the left sidebar, go to PRODUCT CONFIGURATION > Licensed items.
-
Select Actions > Create new item. A dialog opens.
-
Define the details for the licensed item:
-
Name: Define the “technical” name of the licensed item. This name must be unique in the system.
-
Display name (default) (optional): Define a user-friendly display name for the licensed item.
If a display name is available, 10Duke OrgAdmin shows a license by the display name instead of Name. You can also use the display name in any custom UIs you build.
If you localize the display name, Display name (default) is used as a fallback if no translation is found for the user’s locale.
-
Description (optional): Write a short description.
-
-
Click Save to create the licensed item.
Next steps:
-
Add translations for the display name, if needed.
-
You can add aggregated licensed items to the item you just created, or use it as an aggregated item in another licensed item. See how to use aggregated licensed items.
-
You can include the licensed item in a product package for granting licenses with it.
Note that if you grant a license using a licensed item that has just been created, the license is available for consumption after the cache has been refreshed (within 10 minutes by default).
